Why not a subscription?
Recognition runs on your Mac, so there’s no server bill to pass on to you. Cloud dictation subscriptions commonly cost $12–15 a month; Belltongue costs less than two months of one.
AI cleanup costs
Optional. Free with OpenRouter’s free models (daily limits set by OpenRouter). Premium models are billed by their provider, directly to you — Belltongue shows the cost per 1,000 dictations for each.

What do I get for $19.99?
A license for the full app on 2 Macs, plus every 1.x update. A future major version may be offered separately.

How do I pay? Is tax included?
Paddle offers card payments and other methods depending on your country. Depending on where you live, Paddle adds or includes sales tax or VAT; you see the total before you pay.
Can I buy for my company and get an invoice?
Yes. Paddle emails a receipt. Enter your company name and VAT or tax ID at checkout to have them on the invoice.
Do I need to pay for AI as well?
No. Belltongue works without AI cleanup, and OpenRouter’s free models clean up for free. Only if you choose a paid model do you pay its provider, directly.
How do refunds work?
Within 30 days of buying, email [email protected] with your order number, or use the link in your Paddle receipt. You get your money back, no questions asked. See the refund policy.
